Verse of the Day: Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33 NKJV

Continuing the theme of alignment, we add order.

You know the saying, first things first, right?

The order of God is to seek to do His will before we add to it.

Before the business plan, the launch, the strategy session, the social media post, the offer, and the email sequence…seek first.

Not seek also or eventually. Don’t seek when everything else is settled.

First.

This is where we get it backwards. We build the thing and then ask God to bless it. We make the move and then ask Him to cover it. We design the life and then invite Him in to fill the gaps.

But that's not the order He established.

Last week, we discussed alignment through trust, doing your part, and letting go of the outcome. This week, we go one layer deeper: alignment requires sequence. It requires that God's kingdom and His righteousness come before your kingdom and your vision.

We get tripped up because we think God is asking us to abandon our vision. He's not. He’s asking us to make it subordinate. I know that’s a hard pill to swallow for some.

But think about it, there’s order to everything.

So let’s focus on the difference.

Abraham still built. He still moved. He still acted. But he moved after the covenant. He built after God spoke. The sequence was always God first, then the work, then the blessing.

Matthew 6:33 isn't a warning against wanting. It's a promise about order.

Seek first and then all these things shall be added to you.

That word "added" is not passive. It's active. It means God becomes the one doing the adding, the one stacking, the one multiplying. But only when you've put first things first.

So the question for today about alignment is simple…

What have you been building before you sought God to do His kingdom work?

Not what have you done wrong. Not what do you need to abandon? That’s not God's requirement. What in your life, your business, your relationships needs to be reordered? What needs to go back to God's hands first so that He can add what only He can add?

Order isn't a restriction. It’s the doorway to the abundance that we read in the Word of God.

First things first. Seek. Then receive.

That's alignment.

Yvette
