Verse of the Day: Genesis 17:7
I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.
Genesis 17:7 NIV
When God spoke these words to Abraham, He was establishing more than a family lineage. He was creating a covenant that would eventually welcome ALL who come to Him through faith in Christ.
While this scripture is sometimes quoted to exclude non-Jews, God's inclusion plan started with one man's faith and extends to everyone who comes through Christ.
This same God who made covenant with Abraham before asking him to build anything makes covenant with YOU before asking you to construct your business, ministry, or legacy.
Paul makes it crystal clear in Galatians 3:29: if you belong to Christ, you ARE Abraham's seed. You ARE an heir to these covenant promises. You have a place at the table; the chair already has your name on it through Jesus.
New Testament Fulfillment:
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:29 NIV
Here's what this means for us as faith-centered entrepreneurs:
God doesn't ask you to prove your business model before He promises to be your God.
He doesn't require your perfect pitch deck before declaring His commitment.
He doesn't wait for your revenue goals before establishing covenant.
He says 'I will be your God' before He says 'now go build.'
This week, we're focusing on Covenant Before Construction because too many of us are trying to build without first anchoring what God has already promised us. We're constructing platforms, creating products, and launching programs, which are good things.
But we haven't locked ourselves into the covenant reality that He is already our God, and we are already His people through Christ Jesus.
Abraham didn't have the full picture. He couldn't see Jesus. But we can look back and see how that ancient covenant was always meant to include us. Through Jesus, we're grafted into promises that were made before our business plans were even a consideration.
Are you building from covenant, or are you building to earn covenant?
The difference changes everything. Covenant-first building has deep roots, is confident, and bears fruit. It starts with acknowledgment that God is already mine, and I am already His. And it’s decided before the first website goes live, before the first client signs, before the first dollar is made.
This week, live inspired by this truth: Before you construct another thing, write out your covenant declaration. Complete this sentence: 'Because I belong to Christ, God has already promised me _____________.
You're not building to become worthy of God's attention. You're building because you're already His.

Before you build another thing, establish your covenant. 'Dear God, It's Me...I'm Your Daughter. Where's My Victory?' gives you 30 days to hear God's heart for you as His daughter because covenant comes before construction.
Most likely, you will cry. Those tears will help move you toward the freedom that you’ll experience from your honest communication with God, if you allow them to.
