Verse of the Day: Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
We've been on a journey together through the Verse of the Day.
We’ve learned that we can't trust God with all our hearts while leaning on our own understanding. That's the surrender part, releasing the grip.
Then we sought Him first. We didn’t figure out the plan or wait for things to settle down. That's where we prioritize and reorder what we reach for…Him first.
Now we introduce delight. It’s another way alignment happens.
Trust and seeking are acts of obedience. Delight is something deeper. It's when God stops being just your safety net and becomes your greatest joy.
He’s the One you turn to in excitement and fulfillment.
A heart that delights in God is a heart aligned with God.
Ladies, this is the place we want to be with God because then He will give you the desires of your heart.
You love it when God provides your needs, but those desires, that’s another level.
Think about the dreams you've carried quietly and the things you've barely let yourself want because wanting felt too risky. God sees those, too. And a heart aligned with Him becomes a heart He can trust with those wants.
The sequence was always God first, then the work, then the blessing. Delighting in Him is what carries you through the work without losing yourself in it.
Delight also in the Lord. He knows how to take care of what you want.
