Verse of the Day: Psalm 100: 4-5

4: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100:4-5 NIV

With giving of thanks and with joyful, exuberant sounds is how we’re coming to the Lord today. In the United States, Thanksgiving is Thursday, and we have much for which to be thankful.

Despite the highs and lows, the good times and the bad, God is still God and He’s still good. He’s the same yesterday, today, and will be the same tomorrow.

It may not directly change your situation to verbally bless God today. But then again, it could be the action that changes everything.

Letting Him know the reasons we’re thankful can

  • turn our frown into a smile.

  • lift the heaviness we feel in our hearts.

  • turn sadness into joyful peace.

  • discontentment into contentment.

  • turn heartache into calm assurance.

  • lack into abundance.

We don’t know. But I can tell you, when I opened my Bible app this morning. This was the scripture, and my heart felt immediately uplifted. I found myself laughing out loud and excited for all that God has for me.

I knew, as Pastor Tye Tribbett says, that “everything is gonna be alright.”

What about you? Do you know that this same God who made everything alright when the Israelites crossed the Red Sea is the same God who turned water into wine, who changed Saul into Paul, and is the same God who will make everything alright for you?

Right where you are, enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. We are His people, His sheep, and He is our Shepherd, our God who will take care of us.

Be Blessed!

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalm 100: 4-5 KJV
