Verse of the Day: Luke 16:10
He who is faithful in what is least is also faithful in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is also unjust in much.
I've heard these words quite often over the past year: "How I do anything is how I do everything."
It makes me think of Luke 16:10.
Because this verse speaks to character instead of tasks. It’s about who you are when the assignment is ordinary, when no one is watching, when the work feels too small to be connected to the vision God placed in your heart.
Faithfulness does not begin at the grand opening. It begins with the daily asks…the draft you finish when you don't feel like it, the client you serve with full attention even when they're your smallest account, and the habit you maintain even when the results aren't visible yet. That’s where God is watching, and it’s where you prove yourself.
We've walked this path together of trusting without leaning on our own understanding, seeking Him first, and delighting in Him until our hearts shifted toward His. We have been learning what it means to align ourselves with what God is building.
Now we arrive at the next question. Not just do you believe what He said. Not just do you want what He's building. But will you steward faithfully what He has already placed in your hands while you wait for the fullness of it?
Ruth was faithful to Naomi on the road to an uncertain destination before she ever stepped foot on Boaz's field. That faithfulness on the road was what made her ready for the field.
The small thing in front of you right now…the one that feels beneath the vision, too quiet to count, too routine to matter…that is your road to your Bethlehem. Walk it faithfully.
Ask yourself this question: Am I giving the same quality of care and attention to the small assignment that I would give to the big one I'm believing God for?
Only you can answer that.
